PHORMIC co-organized an ePIXfab Workshop on Heterogeneous Integration
ePIXfab organized a 2-day workshop on heterogeneous integration in Paris-Saclay, in collaboration with the projects PHORMIC, ELENA, PATTERN and PhotonixFAB. The workshop was hosted by Thales on 23-24 April 2024. We presented the recent developments in PHORMIC on transfer-printed light sources and integrated silicon photonic MEMS.

Feature on Programmable Photonics in OPN magazine
The importance of programmable photonics for the future of the photonic chips is clearly described in the recent article of Wim Bogaerts (Ghent University – IMEC) in Optics & Photonics News. And it is nice to see that a gorgeous picture of a MORPHIC chip provides a bueatiful backdrop. Read it here.

The MORPHIC project in Laser Focus World
The work of the MORPHIC project, on which PHORMIC is building, was published in an overview paper in Microsystems & Nanoengineering by Niels Quack (formerly EPFL, now Uni. Sydney). A feature article in Laser Focus World covers this. Read it here.
